What’s new 🚨

Training data export
You can now export your training data into a formatted spreadsheet ready to open in Excel, Sheets or Numbers. There are two export formats with grouping by workouts or by exercises and coaches can choose to export data for a single athlete or their entire roster.

iPad layout & program builder
Metric now supports landscape, portrait and split screen layouts on iPad. We’ve added a dedicated program builder layout for the bigger screen with an exercise list sidebar, making it faster to create and edit program templates. Perfect for planning your next training phase or for coaches writing programs for their athletes.

Easier metric switching
You can now switch focused metrics within the active workout by tapping on the metric heading row in the sets list. The same switching feature is available in the rep-by-rep table on the Set Review page. In the workout view you can now also include your set Trend % score to see all your workout trends in the one place.

New video customisation settings
You can now personalize the video overlay for playback and export, change the bar path color, metric color, and stats overlay position.

Improvements ✨

  • Workout Completion Celebration - Added a celebration graphic when you save and finish your workout
  • Recording Tips Flow - Added a warning and tips flow after each recording if Metric detects a potential error in the video. These will help you get accurate and consistent data in your training on future videos
  • Data Management and battery life - Significant background improvements were made to improve efficiency when browsing your training history, videos and performance charts. Data now loads faster and is shared between views improving load speed on all pages, reducing battery usage and reduce downloads.
  • Added swipe to delete support in history - On both the workouts and sets cards
  • Imported video processing - Video processing is now faster than ever helping get you to your training data sooner. Your imported video will now also playback a preview showing you the import progress while processing.
  • Turn off the inline rest timers - Separate from the main timer you can now control these independently if you find them distracting
  • Focus lock on videos - Tap to focus for focus controls, or long press to lock focus for your entire recording
  • Record badges in the workout view - Any set that has a personal record will now show a record badge under the set number within the workout view
