Version 5.9 - New metrics

What’s new 🚨

New Performance Metrics
Eccentric power
measures how aggressively you apply braking effort to decelerate the bar (perfect for drop catches), and time to peak velocity for tracking rate of force development on explosive movements.

Learn more about all available metrics at www.metric.coach/articles/metrics to see how these new tools can elevate your training analysis.

Expanded Real-time Feedback Options
Real-time feedback has been expanded to include a much wider range of metric options. You can choose from mean, peak, and propulsive velocity, plus for the first time power metrics including eccentric, mean, peak, and propulsive values for your audible in-set feedback. Configure your preferred metrics and feedback style in the feedback settings to get instant guidance that matches your training goals.

Tap to Focus Camera Control
Video recording just got more precise with manual focus and exposure control. Tap on your barbell and weight plates within the screen before starting your recording to set both focus and exposure exactly where you want them. This ensures your lifting videos are crisp and properly exposed every time.

Improvements ✨

  • Records display % of all time best. Records now show percentage values. and let you switch between peak and mean velocity for better context at a glance.

Bug fixes 🐛

  • Fixed focus lock issue on newer iPhone models that caused videos to jump focus and become blurry during recording
  • Fixed Apple Watch connection reliability when opening the camera
  • Fixed end of workout and template updating flow when in coach mode
  • Fixed scaling issue on iPad for bar path and video overlay displays
  • Fixed missing bar path and velocity data in videos exported from bulk video library export
  • Fixed an issue where last completion date for a workout template would not always update post workout
  • Fixes to number fields for better handling of leading zeros, decimals and more
  • Fixed the deep links when sharing templates, links are now compressed to avoid breaking message limits and will again open the template editor for that shared template, allowing you to save it to your profile.
