Manual exercise entry
Log a set without recording — for warm-ups, cardio, accessories, machine work, or when recording isn't practical.
Manual entry lets you log a set without recording video. Useful for warm-ups, cardio, isolation accessories, machine work, or anything where bar tracking doesn’t apply.
How to use it
For any exercise in a workout:
- On the recording screen, tap Manual entry instead of Record.
- Enter load, reps, and (optionally) RPE.
- Confirm.
The set saves to your training history with the same metadata as a recorded set, without velocity, power, video, or rep-level detail.
What’s captured
- Load and reps.
- RPE if entered.
- Contribution to total volume and training streak.
- Appears in history and the weekly summary.
Manual sets do not contribute to bar-speed trends, e1RM calculations, or velocity-based PR tracking.
When to use it
- Warm-ups
- Cardio
- Machine work
- Bodyweight exercises
- Quick accessories where the camera setup isn’t worth it
- Backup when a live recording failed
Mixing recorded and manual sets
You can mix freely within a workout. A typical session:
- Squat: 3 working sets recorded, 4 warm-up sets manual.
- Bench: 4 working sets recorded.
- Pull-ups: 3 sets manual.
Manual entry on past sets
To log retrospectively:
- Open the past workout from History.
- Tap Add manual set under the relevant exercise.
- Fill in load, reps, RPE, and optionally a timestamp.
Manual entry vs notes
Manual entry creates a structured set that contributes to volume and history. Notes are unstructured text for context. Use manual entry for data, notes for everything else.
Coach view
Manually entered sets appear in the coach’s view marked as “manual entry”. The coach sees what was logged, without video or velocity data.
