Video library
Find, play, export and delete the set videos saved in Metric Lift, and keep your phone's storage under control.
Open the video library to find last month’s heavy single, play it back, or clear out a season of warm-ups. The library holds every set video Metric Lift saved on your phone. It needs a Pro or Ultra plan, and Save videos in-app switched on in Account → Settings → Video settings.
On Free, or with Save videos in-app off, Metric Lift keeps a set video for 24 hours after you record it. Save it to your camera roll inside that window to keep it.

Find a video
The library lists videos by date, newest first. Each entry shows the thumbnail, the date and time, the exercise, and the load and reps. Switch between List and Grid from the library menu.
Search by exercise. In Coach Mode, you can also search by athlete name.
Export or delete several videos
- Tap the select button in the toolbar.
- Choose the videos, or tap Select all.
- Open the menu and tap Export selected or Delete selected.
To delete one video, swipe left on it and confirm. Delete set in the set review removes the set as well as its video.
Warning: A deleted video is gone for good. Deleting a video keeps the set data. Deleting a set or a workout also deletes its videos.
Check your storage
Open the library menu and tap Storage details to see how much space your videos use on the phone and in the cloud.
Imported videos
An imported video lives in the same library, with the same export, share and delete options. See Importing a video.
When it goes wrong
- Keeping videos on Free. Turn on Auto-export to camera roll to keep a copy of every set in your photos. See Subscriptions for how long Free keeps a video in the app.
- After a plan lapses. You keep every video and can still play, export and share them. New videos save to the library again when you subscribe.
- Coach access. A video stays on the phone that recorded it unless cloud storage is on. Without cloud storage, the athlete shares the video to you from their set review. See Video storage and sharing.
