Adding assistant coaches
Give another coach access to your team on the web dashboard. Who can add one, how many your plan includes, and what they can see.
An assistant coach sees your whole team on the web dashboard. They do not use an athlete seat, and billing stays with you.
How many coaches your plan includes
Ultra Coach includes one coach for every 10 athlete seats, rounded at 5. You count as one of them.
| Athlete seats | Coaches, you included |
|---|---|
| 5 or 10 | 1 |
| 15 or 20 | 2 |
| 25 or 30 | 3 |
So a team needs 15 athlete seats before it has room for an assistant. To add seats, change your Ultra Coach plan under Settings → Billing. Family plans have one coach.
Add a coach
Only the team owner can add coaches, on the web dashboard at app.metric.coach:
- Open Settings → Team.
- In Coaches, enter the coach’s email. The first and last name are optional.
- Click Add coach.
What happens next depends on the email:
- New to Metric. Metric creates an account and emails the coach a link to set a password.
- Already has a Metric account. The coach gets a team invite. They accept it in Metric Lift, under Account → Organization invites → Accept.
- Already an athlete on your team. They become a coach straight away and free up their athlete seat.
Someone who owns or coaches another Metric team cannot coach yours. They would have to leave that team first.
What an assistant coach can do
An assistant coach sees the roster, programs, and results for the whole team on the web dashboard. Billing, seats, and the coach list stay with the owner.
Remove a coach
On Settings → Team, click Remove next to the coach, then confirm. They leave the team and lose access to the dashboard. Their own account and training data stay.
